CDs are making a comeback. Believe it or not, there is a new technology through which you can now pack 1.6 petabytes of data into one CD! Once considered obsolete, CDs are making a triumphant comeback, defying expectations. Recently, researchers in China have developed this revolutionary CD technology, enabling a single CD to hold a staggering 1.6 petabytes or simply 16 lakh gigabytes of data (Pg. no. 2). To put it into perspective, to store such colossal amounts of data, companies like Google typically require a server room the size of a small warehouse.
